‘Jung Seung Won’s goal’ Suwon FC wins fourth straight at home over Gwangju…Gimcheon reclaims lead

Professional soccer’s K League 1 Suwon FC defeated Gwangju FC with a goal from Jung Seung-won to extend its home winning streak to four games.

Suwon FC won their Hana Bank K League 1 2024 Round 19 home match against Gwangju 1-0 on Friday at Suwon Sports Complex.

The victory was Suwon FC’s fourth consecutive home win and a strong showing at home. They also snapped a two-match losing streak on the road and recorded their first win in three matches.

Suwon FC now has 9 wins, 3 draws, and 7 losses (30 points), closing in on fourth-place Gangwon FC (31 points) by one point. Gwangju, 홀덤사이트 which suffered its second straight defeat after two straight wins, remains in sixth place with 7W1D11L (22 points).

Daejeon suffered its first defeat of the day after going unbeaten in two matches (W1 D1) under new coach Hwang Sun-hong. Gimcheon is 11th with 4 wins, 6 draws and 9 losses (18 points).

The military team entered the stadium with the Gimcheon Branch of the Korean War Veterans Association on the 74th anniversary of the Korean War and wore special jerseys to commemorate the month of June, making the win even more meaningful.
