The prize money for this tournament is 421,790 euros (about 620 million won).
Sinner had won 13 singles tournaments above the tour level before this tournament, and 12 of them were on hard courts.
His only win on clay came at the 2022 Croatia Open, while this is his first on grass.
Sinner is the eighth player to win his first tournament after becoming world number one since the introduction of the ATP World Rankings in 1973, the most recent being Andy Murray (UK) in 2016.
This year’s Australian Open champion, Jannik Sinner, also revealed his outlook for Wimbledon, which begins on July 1.
His best result at Wimbledon was the semifinals last year.
Meanwhile, Anna Kalinskaya (24th, Russia), who continues to meet with Sinner, attempted to win together with her boyfriend on the same day, but unfortunately failed to achieve her goal.
On this day, Kalinskaya lost 1-2 (7-6<7-0> 4-6 6-7<3-7>) to Jessica Pegula (5th, USA) in the singles final of the Ecotrans Ladies Open (total prize money 802,237 euros) of the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) Tour held in Berlin, Germany.
With this second place finish, Kalinskaya rose to 17th in the world rankings.
Just last week, fellow ‘tennis couple’ Alex DiMinor (Australia) and Katie Boulter (UK) won the men’s and women’s tour singles titles together.
