hasn’t been a gold medal at the Asian Games, so I’m happy that I did my part in my position.”
Choi, who made her national team debut in 2010, has had a stellar international career, but has yet to win

Choi said, “I’m going to retire from the national team after this year. I think it’s right to step down at this point,” Choi said, adding, “I have regrets about the Olympic gold medal, but I’m sure the juniors will give me good results in the future.”
“I won my first gold medal in the individual event at the Asian Games, but it didn’t change my mindset. I feel like I’m getting a gift for all the hard work I’ve put in,” he said, adding, “I’m retiring from the national team, but I will continue to fence for my club.”
Meanwhile, Song Sera, who won a valuable silver medal in her first Asian Games, said, “When I looked at the bracket, there were a lot of difficult opponents, but it was good to be able to compete against world-class fencers.” “Although I lost to (Choi) in the final, I would like to congratulate her from the bottom of my heart, and I think it will be a meaningful memory,” she added.
Song said, “I had a hard time training in Korea, but I overcame the hard training and performed well. I will continue to work hard in training and perform well in major tournaments.”
