‘Player of the Month’ for his six goals in September

Son Heung-min was named as EPL ‘Player of the Month’ for his six goals in September.

After scoring six goals in September, Son Heung-min (Tottenham Hotspur) is in line to win his fourth English Premier League (EPL) Player of the Month award.

The EPL’s governing body announced the seven nominees for the September Player of the Month award on its website today (Sept. 5).

Son is joined by Julian Alvarez (Manchester City), Jarrod Boen (West Ham United), Pedro Neto (Wolverhampton), Muhammad Salah (Liverpool), Kieran Trippier (Newcastle), and Olly Watkins (Aston Villa).

Of the seven, Son Heung-min’s September performance stands out the most.

In four games in September, Son scored six goals, including one hat trick.

Watkinson’s four goals and one assist and Salah’s two goals and two assists don’t come close to matching Son’s offensive output.

In addition, while Son has been on a goal parade, his club, Tottenham, has gone unbeaten with three wins and one draw.

Outside of Son, none of the other nominees are undefeated. It’s a testament to how much of an impact Son’s goals have had on his team’s wins and losses.

In fact, in the sixth round against Arsenal, Son scored the equalizer when his team conceded an own goal, and then scored the winner when they conceded again to save his team from defeat.

Son is a strong contender for the award, 바카라사이트 not only for his goalscoring record but also for his role in helping his team to an unbeaten run.

He has won the award three times before (September 2016-September 2017-April 2020-October 2020). This will be his fourth award in three years.

The EPL office said of Son, “He excelled in his new role as a frontline striker in September. His six goals helped Tottenham go unbeaten in September and remain in second place. Just one point separates them from leaders Manchester City.”
