RYU HANSU OVERCOMES AG DISAPPOINTMENT, WRESTLES UP A WEIGHT CLASS TO WIN GOLD

Wrestling sensation Ryu Hansu (35-Samsung Life), who failed to win a third consecutive gold medal at the Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games, made up for it by winning gold at the 104th Jeonnam National Sports Games (AG).Ryu defeated Lee Ji-yeon (Korea Land and Housing Corporation) 3-1 in the men’s Greco-Roman 72-kilogram final at the Hampyeong Culture and Sports Center in Jeonnam on Thursday.

Ryu competed in the 67-kilogram category but moved up a weight class for the event. This was due to the difficulty of losing weight again just 10 days after competing at the Hangzhou Asian Games. A gold medalist at the 2014 Incheon Asian Games and 2018 Jakarta-Palembang Asian Games, Liu attempted to win a third consecutive title in Hangzhou, but 안전놀이터 was unable to do so, losing in the quarterfinals.
