“Winning No Chicken would be fun… but I’ll take it on the last day.”
“Americano” Jung Young-hoon sharpened his knives, saying, “I will definitely take chicken on the last day.
On the third day of the PubG Weekly Series (PWS) Phase 2 Grand Finals at the Vita500 Coliseum in Songpa-gu, Seoul, Korea, DK, led by Jung Young-hoon, added 41 points in matches 11-15 to regain the lead with a total of 137 points.
Speaking to the media after the match, Jung said, “There were a lot of boards where I could open up the chicken, but I made a lot of mistakes. I was disappointed.”
DK was in the lead despite not having played a last man standing (chicken) in 15 matches up to this point. Jung said, “Chicken is an important game. There’s no satisfaction in finishing first without a chicken,” he said, adding, “If we can win no chicken, that would be great. It’s not easy,” he said.
“I didn’t intentionally use the strategy of not eating, but I joked with my teammates, ‘If it doesn’t affect our ranking on the last day, let’s try to win No Chicken,'” he laughed.
“I don’t envy you because you’ll be eating chicken on Day 4 (tomorrow),” he said, referring to Azra’s Kim “Hikari” Dong-hwan, who was also interviewed. Azra produced a spectacular scene by picking off chicken three times in a row, starting in Match 2.
“The difference between DK in the past and now is that there are main orders,” Jung said, “and that’s a big difference.”
“It was different,” he said of having his parents there to cheer him on, “and I thought it would be a shame if I didn’t do well because they came to see me in person after only watching me on TV, so I was more nervous.” He also said, “She booked the tickets herself. Most of the other team members’ parents also came,” he added.
The team’s MVP of the day was Minuda’s Lee Min-woo, who said, “He brought up a lot of stun logs in tough situations, which made it easier.”
“We usually keep two directions open, but when the orderer asked me a question, I couldn’t answer it. It was obvious to everyone, but I couldn’t say it,” he regretted.
“We will definitely try to get the chicken we didn’t get on the last day,” he said, “Thank you to our fans for always supporting us. I feel like I’m in a situation where I can reciprocate. I will make up for it and definitely take first place.”
“I think the fact that I worked hard with my teammates even though my score was low was the driving force behind my third consecutive chicken, so I’m grateful to my teammates,” said Kim Dong-hwan, who jumped up in the rankings with his 토토사이트 third consecutive chicken. “Until the first round, we were in a bad mood and our teammates were struggling, but we overcame it,” he said.
Regarding DK, who won first place without chicken, he said, “They are very good. I respect them and learn a lot from them.”
He added, “It must have been hard because (the team) suffered together, and the team was doing it separately. I think we’ll all be really happy if we make it to the PGC.”
