Samsung hires new coaches Min-tae Jeong, Jin-young Lee, Dae-hyun Jung, and Young-sik Kang

Under new head coach Lee Jong-yeol, the coaching staff has been shuffled and the training program has been significantly strengthened.

Samsung’s new pitching coach Jung Min-tae, who plays for the Hanwha Eagles.

The Samsung Lions, a professional baseball team that finished eighth in the regular season this year, has reorganized its team by hiring a total of six new coaches.

“We have signed pitching coach Jung Min-tae, hitting coach Lee Jin-young, second team manager Jung Dae-hyun, pitching coach Kang Young-sik, and training coaches Jung Yeon-chang and Kim Ji-hoon,” Samsung announced on Wednesday.

The positions have also been finalized. Jung will serve as the main pitching coach for the first team, while Lee will serve as the hitting coach for the first team.

Kang Young-sik will coach the younger pitchers in the second team.

Jung Min-tae coached the Hanwha Eagles until 2020, and recently returned to the field after serving as a commentator for Sportvision and a talent donor for the Korean Baseball Organization (KBO).

Lee Jin-young, the “national right fielder,” was the hitting coach for the SSG Landers until this season and will continue his coaching career with the team.

Dae-hyun Jung, formerly the pitching coach for the Tokyo Olympic team, is Samsung’s new second team coach

A top closing pitcher in his playing days, Chung will be coaching at the Korean professional level for the first time.

After retiring from the Lotte Giants, Chung most recently gained coaching experience as the head baseball coach at Dong-A University.

The training department has also undergone significant changes. Head Training Coach Chung Yeon-chang, formerly the head trainer of the NC Dinos, will be in charge of the training department.

Coach Kim Ji-hoon served as a trainer for the Korean National Baseball Team at the 2023 Hangzhou Asian Games.

Samsung also signed trainers Yeom Sang-cheol, Heo Jun-hwan, and Kim Yong-hae.

This is a big change for a team that was once in danger of falling to the bottom of the table this season.

The team signaled its reforms last month by hiring a new head coach, Lee Jong-yeol, who hadn’t had much contact with the organization.

“We have gathered talented leaders to build a strong team that can continue to challenge for the postseason,” Lee said in a statement.

“We needed to strengthen the training part to fundamentally improve the binding problems of rookie-level pitchers and the strength problems of hitters,” he said, adding that “hiring coaches is the first step.”

Meanwhile, former Samsung second team coach Kim Jae-gul has switched to the Hanwha Eagles.

A Samsung representative said, “None of the coaches have terminated their contracts, except for Kim Jae-gul, the second team coach,” adding, “However, we have to adjust the position internally.” 카지노사이트존
