Lee Hyo-song tied for third place in the third round of the 6th Asia Pacific Women’s Amateur Golf Tournament (WAAP).

Lee Hyo-song tied for third place by hitting 13 under par 203 through the third round on the third day of the tournament held at the Siam Country Club Waterside Course (par 72) in Pattaya, Thailand on the 3rd.

Lee Hyo-song, who tied for third place in the 4th competition held at the same venue in 2022, will challenge for the championship for the first time in two years.

No Korean player has yet won this competition, which was founded in 2018.

Until the third round, first place is Wu Junwei (Taiwan) with 18 under par and 198 strokes.

Ryan Malixi (Philippines) is in sole second place with 14 under par, 202 strokes, 4 strokes behind the leader.

Lee Hyo-song said through the Korea Golf Association, “It was a good day overall,” and expressed his determination for the fourth round, saying, “I made a short putt mistake and lost a stroke, but I will play comfortably and not be greedy.”

Hyojin Ang, who hit 206 strokes at 10 under par, is tied for 6th place, and Minsol Kim, who hit 207 strokes, 9 under par, is tied for 8th place.

This year’s winner can participate in major women’s tournaments: Chevron Championship, Evian Championship, and AIG Women’s Open.
