Last-place KT Wiz makes major changes to its first-team roster.

The KBO announced its first-team roster changes on Monday afternoon. Twelve players from five teams were removed from the first team roster.

KT removed Choi Jae-dae, Kim Min-hyuk, and Song Min-seop (outfielders) and Kim Min-ki and Moon Yong-ik (pitchers) from the first team roster. Lee and Kim, who have been the table-setters since the opening game, are out with injuries.

In the last six games, Choi has struggled, going 3-for-28 (1-for-7). He suffered a fractured ankle after being hit by a foul ball against LG on July 7. Kim Min-hyuk was 7-for-14 with five RBIs in six games last week, 안전놀이터 but he left the game against LG on Sunday with a sore right shoulder.

Kim struggled in his start against LG, giving up six runs in one inning, while Moon Yong-ik was also tagged for eight runs on five hits and three walks in one inning.

Kiwoom, which is riding a seven-game winning streak, also dropped rookie pitcher Kim Yeon-ju and outfielder Park Chan-hyuk from the first team roster. LG demoted pitcher Woo Kang-hoon, who was acquired in a trade with Lotte, to the second team. Doosan removed pitchers Park Shin-ji and Choi Jae-in from the first team roster.

Hanwha demoted pitcher Kim Ki-jung and infielder Jung Eun-won to the second team.

Rookie pitcher Hwang Jun-seo remained on the first team roster. He is expected to be utilized as a bullpen pitcher going forward.

Before Game 7, manager Choi Won-ho said about Hwang Jun-seo’s future, “After Kim Min-woo pitches today (Game 7) and checks his body a little bit, we’re going to decide whether to use him in the bullpen or send him down to the second team to start. We’ll decide after today’s game.”

With Min-woo’s seven innings of three-run ball with seven strikeouts and three walks, 안전놀이터 Hwang Jun-seo is likely to stay in the bullpen for the time being.
