Below is the full interview with DRX Head Coach Kim “Mokkyung” Kim and Kim “Rascal” Kwang-hee.

Q. You lost the match against Genji.

Coach Kim Mok-kyung: It was a disappointing performance no matter who you ask. I think we fell short overall. It was a disappointing week, but we’ll try to practice differently next week and improve our performance.

Kim Kwang-hee ‘Rascal’ : I think we still have a lot to work on as a team, and that will be made up as long as we keep practicing and don’t lose trust in each other. I’m disappointed with myself because I didn’t play my full role today.

Q. What do you think is the biggest problem?

Coach Kim Mok-kyung: The things I was worried about in practice came out during the match. I think we might have been slower than other teams in communication and coordination. However, as ‘Rascal’ mentioned, I also value the team atmosphere and trust, and I believe that if we can maintain that, we will be a much better team.

Q. Your bottom duo has more experience than your opponents. But it didn’t seem to show during the match.

Coach Kim Mok-kyung: It’s hard to say that the bottom is 100% together yet. It’s a stage where they are communicating with each other in a good way. I think it will be better in the future. When we were preparing, there was a gap in terms of bottom experience, so we focused on that. It wasn’t just the bottom duo that was disappointing today, it was the whole team.

Q. Any final thoughts?

Coach Kim Mok-kyung: I’m sorry for the disappointing performance, as we are the Rold Cup winners and our fans must have had high expectations. We will definitely come back with a good performance after the holidays.

Kim “Rascal” Kwang-hee: I think our recent performances have been far from professional. 고스톱 We will do our best to show our professionalism from week two.
