Draft Kings signed a contract as the main sponsor of the University of Nevada’s Las Vegas Innovation Center for Las Vegas.

The agreement allows DraftKings, a sports betting and fantasy trading company, to open the university’s innovative studio Draft Kings. The center is located in the International Institute of Games (IGI) UNLV.

In a statement, the head of the Game Innovation Center Daniel Sahl said the agreement gives students the opportunity to collaborate with ideas that can be converted into casino games.

The agreement also grants rights to some of the campus’s brands, including the “DraftKings Innovation Studios”.

DraftKings co-founder Paul Lieberman said the deal deepened “the company’s relationship with the Las Vegas community.” In January, Drift Kings opened an office in Las Vegas.

Tennessee Enters Sports-Betting Field

As sports betting spreads throughout the county, Draft Kings actively engage in everyday fantasy sports, as well as compete in online and sports betting.

Last weekend, Draft Kings was one of the sports betting companies that announced that it would accept online betting in Tennessee.

Fanduel, BetMGM and Tennessee Action 24/7 joined the Draft Kings as the first participants to line up for state sports betting since Sunday. Officials said Bet America, William Hill, Win Resort and Churchill Downs applied for a licenses in Tennessee to place sports betting.

In Tennessee sports betting can be done online only within the state.

Unlike the other two southern states, Arkansas and Mississippi, volunteers do not have legal casinos. Arkansas and Mississippi have commercial casinos that allow playing sports games in the field.
