Figure Ice Dancing’s Kim Ji-Ni Inamu wins ‘bronze’ at Junior Grand Prix
Figure ice dancer Kim Ji-nee-Inamuzo earns a surprise bronze medal at the Junior Grand Prix.
Kim Ji-nee and Inamoo-jo earned a technical score of 46.38 and an artistic score of 36.64 for a total of 83.02 in the ice dance free dance at the first round of the 2023 ISU Figure Junior Grand Prix in Bangkok, Thailand, today (26 February). Kim and Inamoo combined their rhythmic dance score of 56.30 for a final total of 139.32 to win the bronze medal.
Kim Ji-nee and Inamu-jo began their beautiful performance to the soundtrack of The Greatest Showman. They got off to a great start, earning 1.19 extra points for their diagonal step sequence. After executing their subsequent tasks flawlessly, Kim Ji-nee and Inamu-jo improved their free dance score by nearly 10 points.
It was only the second time in the history of ice dancing at a major competition that a Korean figure has reached the podium.
Meanwhile, in the women’s singles, Kim Yoo-sung earned a silver medal in her major international competition debut. Kim had a successful debut, 먹튀검증토토사이트 landing a triple axel with three and a half spins. With a free skate score of 126.88, Kim’s final total of 189.92 earned her the silver medal.
